Product
obtained from the partial loss of water of the ripe grape
by adequate technological process.
In general this process consists of drying the fresh grapes,
in the sun or in drying tunnels.
Once dry, they are removed from the clusters, calibrated,
washed, selected and packaged.
4 to 5 pounds of fresh grapes are needed to obtain 1 pound
of raisins.
During the process, the fruit is treated with abundant water
in several stages, including centrifuging for the separation
of light strange particles and decantation, to separate heavy
impurities.
Depending on destination market , oven drying or sun drying
can be choosen.
The final selection, allows to eliminate impurities and stems.
This can be hand made or by the use of electronichal device
called " Laser Sorter "
In the final process vegetal oil or vaseline can be applied,
on buyer´s requirement.
Polyethylene bags in cardboard boxes of 13, 6 kg net each
(30 pounds)
Other packages, according customers requirement.
