| IQF PEA |
Once
harvested, shell enter the production line where grains
are removed and peas are separated, then transported
in water element. Next, they are selected and frozen
in IQF tunnel.
Peas are blanched during the process. Peas are not
necessarily classified by size, however there is variety
from which a small grain called "petit pois" is obtained.
There is a great demand of this product in the market.
According to U.S. standards peas are classified by
color, defects and ripeness. Each of these is given
letter (A,B,C, SStd) depending on the quality product.
The top quality product is given grade AAA.
